Seeing dead people in a dream has a very different meaning in Islamic tradition. Depending on the details in the dream.

According to Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi Seeing death and dead person in dream indicates religious weakness and corruption and honor and fame in worldly terms.
Dying in a dream indicates religious weakness and corruption and honor and fame in worldly terms. If it is carried without burial, only placed on a cot, and wept over it, and if buried in the soil, there is no hope of religious correctness. Rather, his world will prevail over him and as many people as attend his funeral will be subject to him. Dying in a dream is a symbol of dominating people in all situations and riding on their necks.
Someone had a dream as if he is dead. But there is no crying, no shouting, no arrangement for bathing, no shroud, no funeral, then it means that a room in his house will collapse. Or there is an argument that the wall of the house will fall and its wood will break. And some scholars are of the opinion that this dream indicates a long life with his religious weakness and lack of insight.

If there is a post-death provision along with death, i.e. bath, shroud, crying, washing. So it is a proof that his religion is more weak and crying is a sign of status in the worldly sense. According to some, dying in a dream is an argument for traveling and moving from one place to another, and according to others, dying in a dream is an argument for poverty.
